 Return to Geography Department
The Department of Geography contributes to three graduate level programs in conjunction with the School of Education: an M.A. Program for the Preparation of Teachers of Earth Science, an M.A. Program for the Preparation of Teachers of Social Studies, and a five-year combined BA/MA program in Environmental Studies and Adolescent Education in Earth Science. These programs provide certification for graduates to teach in New York State. The combined BA/MA program requires students to fulfill the requirements of the Department of Geography BA in Environmental Studies along with the School of Educations requirements.
