NURS 77800 - Advanced Child/Adolescent Psychiatric Mental Health Assessment and Intervention

This course explores child/adolescent mental health problems for students to learn how to make a differential diagnosis and apply standards of care to foster health promotion as well as to deal with simple to complex disorders of child/adolescent mental health. This course reviews information and knowledge about:

1) common mental disorders including etiology, theories, and epidemiology;

2) diagnostic evaluation of each disorder;

3) interventions for each disorder in order to provide age-appropriate care.
