Details on the Hunter Core Requirement can be found here: Hunter Core Requirement .

Major (30 credits)

The major’s core curriculum begins with an introductory class, which teaches students to better understand city life socially, economically, physically, and politically. The other components of the core include courses about urban structure, policies and research methods. The major is also comprised of electives, an internship, and interdisciplinary courses offered in departments outside of the major.

Graduate Courses

The following graduate courses are open to senior urban studies majors. Other graduate-level courses may be taken by seniors with permission of the instructor:

URBP 701 History of Planned Urban Development

URBP 702 The Structure of the Urban Region

In addition to these two courses, there are cross-listed classes, offered each semester, that are open to undergraduate students.
