EDUC 71700 - Supervised Clinical Experience 1 This course is an opportunity for teacher candidate to engage in one semester of supervised clinical experience in a classroom that corresponds with the grade levels and content area in which the teacher candidate is seeking certification. Emphasis is placed on teacher candidates developing a reflective stance on their supervised clinical experience. Teacher candidates in this course will be coached by a Hunter College School of Education field supervisor. This course is intended to supplement other clinical experiences previously completed by teacher candidates and requires a minimum of 10 hours per week in a clinical placement.
prereq: Departmental permission required. Credits 1.0 Contact hours include five 3-hour seminars (total 15 contact hours); minimum of 10 hours of clinical experience per week.
Students must complete this course with a grade of B or better, or they must request permission to repeat the course.
