SPED 70450 - Teaching Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Students This course is a review of the historical, social, and legal foundations of education as it pertains to special education, education of students including those with limited proficiency in English, and multicultural backgrounds. It is an overview of issues and best practices for teaching students from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds who have historically been underserved in educational systems due to language, race, class, or social status within the context of special education.
