SPED 73000 - Education of Students Who Are Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing History of theory, practice and conceptualizations in the education of students who are deaf and hard-of-hearing. The study of language acquisition (English and ASL), bilingualism, and learning English as a second language in hearing and deaf children. Linguistic understanding and analysis of the components of language proficiency. Educational settings, issues of inclusion, and use of technology.
