BIOL 77100 - Special Topics in Experimental Biology This course was designed to further the understanding of a broad range of topics in biology. This is an interactive lecture course where students are initially taught the tools of experimental biology. Students are then taught how to use those tools to study any subject matter (e.g., cancer, neurobiology, molecular biology). Students are then taught how to use those tools. Students are required to design experiments during discussion periods and critically assess the negative and positive outcomes of an experimental design. Master’s-degree students seeking to pursue further graduate studies will greatly benefit and are highly encouraged to enroll. This course will also be complementary to pre-candidacy doctoral students that wish to design experiments towards their doctoral theses. In this regard, our course will help students pass of the level I exam given to students at the end of a BA/MA or MA degree.
