EPI 75300 - Clinical Trials and Experimental Design This course provides students with the basic foundation of experimental design, with a focus on clinical trials (single and multi-center), intervention trials, and quasi experimental design, particularly in the field of public health. The strengths and limitations of these approaches in comparison with related observational epidemiologic studies will also be covered. Specific topics to be discussed include design options (sampling, treatment allocation, cluster randomization), sample size and power considerations, adverse event monitoring, and statistical analysis of trial data.
