ECO 23300 - Economics of the Media Provides an introduction to the economics of the media. The course uses the toolkit of economic analysis to understand the structure of media industries, the characteristics of media products, the effects of regulation in media markets, and changes brought about by digital technology.
Economics of the Media is a quantitative analytical course requiring a solid understanding of microeconomic principles and also basic statistics. prereq: ECO 10000 or ECO 20000 3 hrs. 3 cr.
