ARTED 71100 - Methods of Teaching the Visual Arts Grades 7-12 This course focuses on visual arts education methods, philosophies and theories of learning and development in the visual arts for the adolescent. Focus: It emphasizes adolescent aesthetic development, safe and appropriate uses of materials and resources, and appropriate methods and pedagogy for teaching the visual arts in grades 7-12.
Course includes 48 hours of fieldwork in a school. Students are observed and evaluated in the field at least once.
prereq: ARTED 71000 and SEDF 70500 Hours 3 hrs Credits 3 cr.
