HIST 33600 - History of 20th-Century Germany (W) Pluralism and Diversity PD/D An introduction to the major themes in German history in the 20th Century. It covers such topics as the impact of the First World War, the rise of Adolf Hitler and the Nazis, the Second World War, and Germany’s place in the Cold War. The course places particular emphasis on the controversies which have arisen out of Germany’s turbulent recent past.
