GTECH 20300 - Introduction to Remote Sensing Introduces remote sensing image interpretation and a basic understanding of the use of remote sensing technology in the study of environmental issues and the monitoring of Earth systems. The first half of the course focuses on aerial photography, photogrammetry and image interpretation. The second half focuses on the use of remote sensing in Earth system sciences. Extensive lab exercises include practical assignments and computer-based analysis of remote sensing images. Students will learn basic image interpretation and some web-based image processing skills through various lab exercises.
